The retrofitting campaign for the ePedelec took just under two weeks. Florijan Blasevic and Hans-Peter Erni visited all 11 locations in the various federal states to make improvements to the delivery vehicles. Deutsche Post is conducting a long-term test with our vehicles. Feedback from the first six months from the postmen and the management had prompted us to make improvements to the vehicle, which simplify the daily work of mail delivery, prevent damage to the vehicle, make it less wet for the postmen and women in the rain, and increase the reliability of the vehicle.

The retrofit team was pleased to find that the vehicles are basically in excellent condition after a snowy winter and almost 6 months of testing. The robust construction and the high KYBURZ quality assurance were also reflected in the interview statements of the users and the service chiefs of the mail distribution centres we visited. Nevertheless, we had to conclude that assembly errors happened here and there, that there were design deficiencies and that the serviceability definitely needs to be improved.

We know the challenge of developing and producing a vehicle that can be used for years with little service effort and high availability.
With the ePedelec, we have already achieved a lot in record time. We are well on the way to a really good product.
