Health tip

I regularly introduce you to tips that strengthen the immune system. My recommendation today takes a little effort, but is definitely worth it.

Alternating showers: Is healthy and can be fun

It works in the same way as traditional Kneipp treatments: cold-warm stimuli from the water constrict and dilate the blood vessels, which indirectly has a positive effect on the immune system, metabolism, circulation, heat regulation, the heart and our mood.

Blood circulation and the nervous system are stimulated and the body is hardened and strengthened! Give it a try!

And this is how it works:
The correct sequence of alternating showers is very important. Always start with warm water and end with cold!

Start with the pleasant to the hot shower, then comes the part where you have to overcome your inner stinker. Take the shower head in your hand and now set the water to cool to cold. The best setting is jet. Start on the outside of the right foot (the furthest away from the heart). Then shower the outside of the right foot up to the hip. From there, switch to the inside of the thigh and jet back to the foot. Repeat on the left side. For beginners, two rounds are recommended, i.e. warm/cold - warm/cold.

Important to know:
You should not perform alternating showers if you have a fever, cardiovascular diseases, chronic illnesses or if you are pregnant.

Did you know:
The spa doctor and priest Sebastian Kneipp invented water therapy to strengthen the immune system more than 100 years ago. When used regularly, the very cool water (16 to 17 degrees Celsius) has a healing effect.
