On bikes they are called mudguards, on cars mudguards. KYBURZ calls them mudguards. They protect your own vehicle from dirt and splashes. In wet weather, they prevent water from being swirled up from the road so that following vehicles have good visibility and are not soiled. Another function is to cover the rotating wheels so that injuries can be prevented.

The material and shape of the mudguards on KYBURZ vehicles has changed over time. The first CLASSIC were equipped with mudguards made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic in the colour of the vehicle. Chrome-plated versions and models made of non-corrosive material followed. Most of them still had a splash protection flap made of rubber fitted.

Since 2015, KYBURZ has been fitting mudguard wings made of the recyclable material HDPE (high-density polyethylene). They are injection moulded in Switzerland, are very light and have the splash protection flap already integrated in the mould.

We have developed the HDPE plastic mudguard wings especially for our vehicles.
They offer the following advantages over all other mudguards:
